The winners were selected by a panel of civic and community leaders and will be honored during an on-field presentation during the Atlanta Falcons vs. Carolina Panthers game on Sunday, November 23. In addition, a $2,000 grant will be awarded to the non-profit organization each winner serves.

Nick Goodly
Warren/Holyfield Boys and Girls Club
For the past 19 years, Goodly has served as Judo instructor, teaching classes two days a week plus weekends. Many of his students have had the opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally through the Judo program. Goodly teaches self-discipline, encourages his students to take ownership of the program, and instills the importance of bettering oneself through education and hard work. ~Written by nominators Eric Osborne and Gail Johnson
Warren/Holyfield Boys and Girls Club is an after school youth development center serving more than 1,000 members in the Southeast Atlanta area.
Sylvia Campbell
Crossroads Community Ministries
Campbell has served as a volunteer for the past 12 years and as a non-paid volunteer coordinator for more than 150 volunteers for the past three. She also helps in the kitchen several hours a week and spends countless hours searching for and picking up donated food and clothing. Campbell has even helped one of her guests enroll in college to pursue his dream of becoming a probation officer. ~Written by nominator Stan Dawson

Wayne Johnson
Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Georgia, Inc.
Johnson is one of the original Big Brothers for this agency, getting his first match in 1979. Not only has he has served as mentor, leader and friend; he has also served as board member and leadership council member/leader. He has been recognized as having served more children as a mentor than any other volunteer in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in America. ~Written by nominator Nancy Bryan

A Friend’s House
Clark is a charter Executive Board Member who has been an integral part of the home’s founding and continued growth. She has served tirelessly for the past 14 years and has provided a safe home for more than 1,470 children in crisis. Her consistency and passion for those affected by child abuse is evident through her many years of dedicated service. ~Written by nominator Jill Holder
A Friend’s House is a home for children in crisis who are in the custody of the Department of Family and Children’s Services. The home ensures a safe, secure and emotionally supportive environment as an interim resource that stabilizes and protects a child while fostering a positive self-concept.
John Willis
HomeAid Atlanta
Willis has served as a volunteer board member since its founding in 2001. He has served as Builder Captain for many projects including a new facility for Community Advanced Practice Nurses (CAPN), a free of charge health clinic offering healthcare to homeless and economically disadvantaged Atlantans. Additionally, he served as one of five Builder Captains for Genesis-A New Life, Atlanta’s first and only emergency facility for newborn babies and their families. ~Written by nominator Haley Livingston
