The Atlanta Falcons are partnering with the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) for the team’s annual FalCan Food Drive. For more than 30 years, the Falcons have joined with the ACFB to help feed families in need, and in 2007 Falcons fans donated 2,243 pounds of food, including monetary donations totaling $34,824 worth of groceries! For every dollar you donate, the ACFB can buy nearly $8.30 in groceries for those seeking food assistance throughout metro Atlanta.
This year, fans are again encouraged to help the team end hunger by donating non-perishable canned food items or monetary contributions with TWO chances to give. First at the food drive kickoff event on Tuesday, November 11 from 6-8 p.m. in front of the Falcons 365 store at Perimeter Mall where players including Michael Turner, John Abraham, Jerious Norwood, Ovie Mughelli and Jamaal Anderson, along with Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders, will be on hand to accept your donations and sign autographs. Fans will also receive a 25% discount on all Falcons 365 gear!
You’ll also have a chance to donate before the Falcons-Broncos game on November 16 at all gates at the Georgia Dome. Do your part to help thousands of people in need throughout Atlanta by supporting the FalCan Food Drive on November 11 at Perimeter Mall and November 16 at the Georgia Dome!
