FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Atlanta Falcons today signed tight end Jason Rader.
Rader, 6-4, 271 pounds, was originally signed by the Miami Dolphins as a free agent in 2005 and saw action in five career games with one start the following season.
After a stint on the New England Patriots practice squad in 2007, Atlanta signed Rader as a free agent on March 14, 2008. The Marshall graduate spent the 2008 training camp and preseason with the Falcons before being waived on September 1.
Rader started 22 of 25 games at Marshall and caught 60 passes for 558 yards and five touchdowns.
