Physical Therapy Centers announce expansion

ATLANTA -- Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Centers today announced it has acquired Axiom Physical Therapy, operator of two physical therapy centers in Marietta.   Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition gives Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Centers its third and fourth locations – a 5,000 square foot facility on Johnson Ferry Road and a 3,000 square foot center on Canton Road.   The news comes one month after Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Centers opened a facility in the Shops at Hamilton Mill shopping center in Dacula.

In October 2007, Atlanta Falcons Owner and CEO Arthur Blank’s management and investment company – AMB Group, LLC – launched the first Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Center in Suwanee, part of a larger plan to bring professional-grade physical therapy and sports rehabilitation services to the public.   Each Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Center features skilled therapists, state of the art equipment and a sleek, motivating Falcons-branded environment.

AMB Group Business Development director Dan Gordon said the decision to expand was driven by positive response in each of the Falcons centers and by the quality of Axiom’s business operations, which he credited to founder John Resnick.  “John has built a quality business focused on finding the best talent and offering excellent care,” Gordon said.  “That’s a vision we share and will build on, for our patients and our professional staff.”

“Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Centers will bring the right focus, values and investment to these centers,” Resnick said.  “I think that bodes well for patients, staff, referring physicians and the community.”

Gordon said patient care will not be interrupted as both Marietta centers are upgraded over several weeks to reflect the Falcons look and feel, and both will offer the full complement of physical therapy and sports rehabilitation services.  At 5,000 square feet, Johnson Ferry will be the largest Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Center, with a full gym and locker room.  The center will also offer hand therapy, specializing in rehabilitating patients with conditions affecting the hands and upper extremities.
