FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- For the fifth time this season rookie quarterback Matt Ryan is up for an NFL weekly award. The signal-caller is nominated for Diet Pepsi Rookie of the Week after throwing for 220 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Raiders.
Ryan finished with a 138.4 passer rating and the Falcons controlled the ball for more than 45 minutes in a dominating, 24-0 victory.

But Ryan isn't the only player up for an award after a solid performance.
For the second time this season defensive end John Abraham posted three sacks in a game and, for the second time, he's up for GMC Defensive Player of the Week.
Abraham also had a forced fumble against the Raiders.
